I will be staying with relatives in Anglesey next week and hope to get some climbing done. I've never climbed in Wales before and don't know the area. Are there any good guides/topos online, or do I need to fork out £25 for a guidebook that I might never use again?

Alternatively, would anyone living close to Anglesey be willing to lend me a guidebook for the week? I could pick it up and drop it off, and could give you a deposit.

There are wikis for the slate quarries and for Gogarth but I'd recommend the North Wales Select guide. It's a great guidebook and covers loads of areas so I'm sure you'd get enough use of it to justify buying a copy. Would lend you mine but I'm a bit out of your way.

North Wales Rock: Selected Rock Climbs in North Wales book is for sale on Amazon - new copy, cheaper than retail price.
