The brief is to design four banner adverts for climbing products from La Sportiva, Beal and Petzl using images from their websites and you can incorporate some of your own images.

Hear we go, this is my attempt to create four banners for the UKC ad comp. I have worked in the print industry for nine years as a computer operator at a reprographics house but have never got involved in design. Not to say that I have never designed anything before, but usually have more input from the client. So this is my attempt, don't laugh if you think they are rubbish; from my experience simple ad's are the most effective.

don't like the beal one: it's just a list of rope stats and I can't even see what rope it's for...

to Ross: like the sportiva ad, but the beal one, what are you advertising? no rope name visible, also spelling metre and control,maybe simplify the amount of text? too many stats perhaps
dont ask me to do one, i wouldnt have a clue how to use photoshop!

how about a photo of someone taking flight and text "beal, fail confidently!

or use some tech manufacture photos, "we do this" and then a falling shot "so you can do this"

but i'll admit too small for web based (if that's the size)
