Mike C describes an ascent of the Austrian route on the north face of Les Courtes in 1980. His summit experience was blessed with a beautiful view of Mont Blanc under moonlight.

This, Gordon's and your articles should have some lads salivating, getting to Chamonix and finding they have to get there earlier in the year nowadays.

Great article! That photo of Mont Blanc reminds me of something. The one on my living room wall perhaps!
