Glosoli by Sigur Ros?

Just heard them for the first time last night and am completely blown away. This particular track is achingly good.

Ive just come back from Iceland and it really became obvious how their music is so influenced by their landscape.

Check out their DVD "Heima"

ooooo I really want to see Heima.

I know it's not as directly Sigur Ros but my favourite's the Angels of the Universe soundtrack. or all of Agaetis Byrjun.

I think Von's the only thing of theirs that I've struggled with. I've still not heard the new album but that's because Control Freak's withholding it from me for my own good.

Hmmm...I pondered on that before posting it and wondered whether it should be 'piece of music' or not as to include classical.

Then I thought that track is more open in the sense that a piece of music composed digitally for example is not often referred to as a 'song' is it?! I thought it was best to be as broad as possible in scope.

Anyway......what am I saying?!? Jeez I'm sounding dull! <ties hands behind own back to stop from typing drivel>

For a modern electronica classic, Miss You (Album version) by Trentemoller is up there for me - in fact, to my ears, everything on the Last Resort is quite stunning.

Angie, angie, when will those clouds all disappear?

You cant say were satisfied
But angie, angie, you cant say we never tried
Angie, youre beautiful, but aint it time we said good-bye?
Angie, I still love you, remember all those nights we cried?
All the dreams we held so close seemed to all go up in smoke
Let me whisper in your ear:
Angie, angie, where will it lead us from here?
Oh, angie, dont you weep, all your kisses still taste sweet
I hate that sadness in your eyes
But angie, angie, aint it time we said good-bye?

I'm listening to Sigur Ros as I write this and I must agree with the OP. Their videos are brilliant as well.

It's quite nice. Like the video, too.

However, I've written and recorded guitar tunes that probably no one will ever hear, other then me, that make me laugh, cry, jeer at the mistakes, and go very quiet when I just briefly get things absolutely perfect, just for a bar or two. Sometimes this is all within the same 2 minute track...

But I don't do songs.
