NEWS: Tom Briggs and Ed Brown - An Evening On The Grit

Sheffield based climber Tom Briggs has made what is thought to be the sixth headpoint ascent of Parthian Shot (E9) at Burbage, but not before taking a ground fall on his first lead attempt...

...To top off the evening, Ed Brown then soloed the nearby Simba's Pride (E8) after a brief top rope.

Surely Parthian's had more than six ascents?

Gresham?
Honneyman &/or DeGay?
Ed Brown
Tom Briggs

That's only a list off the top of my head, so I imagine there must be a few more. Obviously if the uncertain ones haven't then it changes things a bit.

Gresham hasn't neither has Honneyman or Degay, and i don't think Ed Brown has either....

I misread the report as Ed Brown having done it too, but clearly I can't read properly...

...15 close times I believe...it was amazing the only thing he broke was his wrist... nice chap though...

Congrats to Tom though on his ascent
