Hi ppl

Thinking of buzzing over to pen-y-fan/surrounding area 2morra and was wondering what the climbing conditions are like? Am not really fussed what the meduim is (ie ice/mixed)and going with the mind set of having a wintery walk and anything else being a bonus.
If tho anyone can shed some light on the likelyhood of me finding something to hack away at that wld be most apprecicated.

cheers
Tom

In reply to molemug1: Just returned from Hay Bluff/tampa. Loads of snow there, and fresh falls from 11.30 onwards (Heavy). Ground/turf well frozen at 500m. Snow has drifted in wind. There will definately something to do, but be prepared for wading thorugh heavy snow!

Road over Gospel pass, was impassable still, even in a land rover ( unless you have snow chains, a willing companion and some good over road tyres.).

have a great day.

In reply to molemug1:

Conditions yesterday were pretty good. N face of Pen y Fan had good frozen turf and a reasonable amount of snow although this was a bit unconsolidated in places. We followed our noses up through the buttresses with the odd 'interesting' step - mainly turf bashing and a bit of mixed.
