Is it just my computer or is google mail not working for anyone else?

I installed the offline version of Google Mail (under the labs button) and it downloads everything in the background to your computer in case of loss of connection - handy on my laptop so I can retrieve stuff when a connection is impossible such as a plane etc.

I can't send mail etc but at the moment I can obviously search through and retrieve everything in my archive.
 BigBrother 24 Feb 2009
In reply to maresia: I access it via imap which is working but slow.
OP maresia 24 Feb 2009
In reply to BigBrother:

how do you set that up?
 Flying Monkey 24 Feb 2009
In reply to maresia:
It happens now and again with gmail, bit annoying but doesn't tend to last too long.

Yep, he did it in fine style as well - a severe in Avon. I take it you climb with the club he's joined.
 Poco Loco 24 Feb 2009
In reply to maresia: No, mostly climbing with mates. Was in Glencoe last week. Thawing all week though. Went to the ice factor on Wednesday in desperation.

YAY!!

Googlemail is back. And after all of that frustration of not being able to get my emails I have 4 in my inbox - 3 of which are spam and the other one boring!

In reply to maresia: You need a blackberry, get them pinged through to your phone. With a Blackberry, you know when nonbody loves you!

is that not just the same as having your mail program POP access it?
