But for those in the know it provides climbing that equals, if not betters some of the more popular gritstone route climbing and bouldering destinations. In reply to Tyler: on thing that might be worth a mention is in summer in still conditions you need Midge repellant or a tough disposition.

Had my first ever taste of grit on this crag, on a summer's evening back in 1985. I was eaten alive !
