Well done to Shauna Coxsey, who at age 16, today made AFAIK the youngest (possibly 5th) female ascent of the classic 8a at Malham. Oh, she made it look easy as well...

Sounds like you were close to Baboo, don't extend the draw, then theres no chance to hesitate!! Hows everything looking conditions wise?

In reply to north country boy: I know. Next time I'll just man up and do the move. I've posted on UKB for the conditions, but most stuff was dry.

Very heartening to see young climbers like Shauna, Kitty and Mina pushing the envelope at such young ages.

Just talked to Steve McClure and Neil Gresham about Kitty and Shauna - so much potential and the real deal, they said.

Agreed. I'm sure there are other good young climbers out there, but Shauna is the best I've seen - by a long way. She has huge potential.
