Ricky's name seems to crop up a lot on the Irish scene. It would be great to see some of his routes getting a bit more attention from over here.

In reply to UKC News: The man is a machine. He may not be putting up the ultra hard routes that garner a serious amount of media attention that other top climbers are however he's massively prolific in the E5 to E8 territory. I'd be surprised if there were many others in the british isles at this moment in time putting up the same volume of hards routes as the man. He's also as far as i can tell, though i could be mistaken, systematically trying to get every E7 in ireland done. Bon Effort!

Some of his routes, like this one, should get attention just because they look superb - irrespective of being 'only' E8. Its not like Fairhead is a remote backwater to get to.
