Techy help....

A very small (>10 people) business but everyone is in different locations.
Would it be okay to share documents through google or is it really unsafe or they will bombard us with ads or something.

Any thoughts from those who know?

Thanks in advance.

In reply to ClimberEd: Sounds ok - you shouldn't get any more ads than usual - just the normal adwords. Mind you for about £700 you could get a cheap sbs 2003 server and share all your docs/email etc on there.

In reply to ClimberEd: Or if you've got a server already you could just setup a DMZ on your router and get access directly to the server over your boradband connection

In reply to ClimberEd:

dont google own the docs and content shared through there.

you'd want to check the IP issues out

No, they don't, and they provide pretty strong terms and conditions to prevent it from happening, and to prevent anyone else from abusing your IP.
In reply to ClimberEd: or buy google apps for your domain.
It has an SLA etc well worth it
