How far into the clip before anything happens?
OP Steve Perry 22 Jun 2009
In reply to Swig: between 1st and 2nd minute, it's worth it.

More like several sets of awesome tyres

There's an earlier version filmed on an airfield that is equally spectacular and much less commercialised.

All very impressive but i just wonder if this bloke would be particularly fast if he were rallying that car properly?

Driving like that... No.
With skills like that... Without doubt.

I suspect a few seconds in google will confirm he's highly successful in Rally or auto testing (US equivalent?) or something similar.

In reply to Steve Perry:

I could do that in my diesel vw passat.
I think he must have got through several sets of tyres.
OP Steve Perry 22 Jun 2009
In reply to Steve Perry: according to his site he's big on the US rally scene but doesn't look like he's done WRC.

In reply to Steve Perry:

'US' and 'rally'? Are you sure that those are words that can be reliably used together?

Anyway, he shows us a fine display of what to expect from American tyres and road surfaces!
