VS blindfold solos

Just watched my copy of "High Hazard" - lakeland climbing 1934 style, including a blindfold roped solo (or so it appears) of Kern Knotts Crack - in plimsolls by the look of it. How many folk would contemplate that nowadays I wonder?!

Anyway, what great film, despite the cringeworthy narration. Thanks to whoever digitised it and made it available. Who else has seen it? What did you think?

Short clip of it here: youtube.com/watch?v=KBoghFf8Tgg&

Does anyone know who the other climbers in the film are?
In reply to Different Steve:

After a bit of googling I find that "Norah Johnstone [his girlfriend of the time].. starred as a Victorian climber" and "Vivian Verity from Ipswich" was the small girl on Napes Needle - nice to see that us rock-starved East Anglians have got some sort of mountain heritage!!
In reply to Different Steve:

His technique is superb.
In reply to Different Steve: What a "bold fellow". Thanks for posting.

In reply to Different Steve:

how can you have a roped solo
In reply to mikeyd: sounded strange to me too but when you watch you'll see the rope is only there to suffocate him if he falls...
