[KMF 2009, 4 kb]Kendal Mountain Festival 2009 was a rip-roaring, beer-drinking, film-watching, party-dancing success.

The backdrop to the weekend was the terrible rain and flooding that swamped the Lake District. Kendal was hit, but luckily the roads stayed open and the festival was jam-packed. With the rain tumbling from the sky there was no guilt in spending the whole weekend inside.

Here the UKC team take you though the highlights of their weekend:

In reply to UKC Articles:
By the way we set a new record in beer consumption this year (we announced the wrong figure at the awards ceremony). Over 8,800 pints sold within the Brewery Arts Centre excluding the beer tent outside - if you factor that in it's going to be way over 9,000 pints. Good effort. And the guys on the Bowmore Whisky stand gave away over 8,000 drams over the weekend too!

In reply to frost: Hmm. Possibly. It was filmed by a film crew, but I don't know who they were or what the film was for.

I will investigate.

Sender Films produced a film called First Ascent a few years ago. The 'Alone on the wall" film is actually an episode of a TV series they are producing for the Nat Geo Adventure channel also called First Ascent which is airing on TV next year some time. So no way of watching it yet . There are a few trailers about online for the series though and it looks ace. http://www.facebook.com/pages/SENDER-FILMS/21714708076?ref=ts
