Hi

Does anyone have contact with or know there whereabouts of Jim Reading, the Sheffield climber that worked in Tanky's shop?

Hi Phil,

Tanky came on here a few years back, courtesy of his kids/grandkids who were online. After fond reminiscences, there was mention of Jim. I've got a vague memory that someone ventured that he was working in an old folk's home in Sheffield but we never got further than that. I've got good memories of him and so does Brian. Would be great to see him again. He was a very forceful climber - no faffing around, like yours truly.

Hi Mick

I spoke with Bryan earlier today. He seems to have lost contact with Jim but did give me some pointers that may lead to him. Surely someone on here knows where he is though?

In reply to phil kelly: I'd heard that he had emigrated to Australia.

I climb/boulder with his daughter. I could probably make some enquiries.

Would be grateful if you would pass on my good wishes. He probably doesn't remember me; it was all a long time ago! Hope things are going well for him. Many thanks.
