In reply to UKC Articles: I keep an eye on the BAS website and apply for jobs as soon they come up; I have never even had a reply from them sadly. I heard somewhere they get thousands of applications for the jobs so it’s not really surprising. My father spent time down there with the merchant navy and I ended up with Robert Scott’s middle name, Falcon, as mine as well so I feel a bit of an affinity. The aerial survey work they do down there is simply amazing and I would be great one day to work a season.
