Pleased to report that last Wednesday we made considerable progress clearing a path along the foot of Ratcheugh (Ratcheuf in UKC crag database!)and managed some moss stripping and bramble clearance off routes. Veteran's Wall area is now clear as well as the area left of Curving Crack. If anyone is interested I plan to go back up on Monday for a major ivy stripping exercise in the area right of Senapod Corner. It's probably 20 years since some of these routes saw ascents and they don't even feature in the NMC Guide (they are in the old Wanney Guide). We will inform the nice old lady who lives in the Folly that we will be on the crag. Crag is about 8-10m high with much to do in the VDiff and Severe category plus a smattering of VS. See NMC forums for some photos of the crag..

Just to manage expectations, more like 5 - 8 metres!

In reply to JDal: I'll bring the tape measure

In reply to Colin Matheson:

Was up in that area last spring (family holiday) and it looked great with the folly on the top. Good luck with your cleaning efforts.

If we end up there again I'll get in touch to do some routes.

J
