In reply to petemacpherson: Amazing video, full of balls to the wall climbing and brilliant photography. An excellent advertisement for Scottish winter.

In reply to petemacpherson: Great stuff - indeed, inspirational. If you have a spare moment check youtube 'west chimney parts 1 and 2'. Modest by your standards, but great for us older chaps. Best of luck in the coming season.

In reply to petemacpherson: That, sir, is quality climbing porn. Good vid and great clutch of routes.
To the OP only know the first track which is from the Peatbog Fairies (I think it is called Whacko King Hako from the album Welcome to Dunvegas0.

Inspired.... bring it on!

Again a request for the music. Does anyone know what the last but one track is?

Great effort though! throughly enjoyed it.

In reply to petemacpherson:
Great video Pete! Hugely inspirational, even for an utter punteress like me. Remember, that offer of a Grade II gully is always open any time you feel the need to reconnect with your customer base...

In reply to petemacpherson: Fantastic stuff! I hope Alpinist see this and link to it so it gets some international attention.

In reply to petemacpherson: Nice one Pete, pure dead brilliant. Roddy made a good job of it. The wife bit was a stroke of genius, browny points plus plus.

In reply to petemacpherson: Excellent!!!!
In reply to petemacpherson:

Good video to wet the appetite for the coming winter.

To the question about the music is the first track not the Peat bog Faeries unsure of the track name.

In reply to petemacpherson:

Quality!

"...it's really full on!" 'nuff said

I can feel the mojo rising and the temperature falling...
In reply to morbh: Thankyou for the positive feed back. It was hard to take a bad picture last winter as almost every day was wall to wall sunshine and every route was a total belter. Roddy spent ages putting it together and finding the right music. The first track being Peat bog Faeries.

If it gets people psyched then its done its job!!
In reply to jim rigg: Cheers Jim, and best of luck on your coming season.

In reply to petemacpherson: BTW, am I the only one who on seeing a picture of Guy Robertson thinks "Brad Pitt"? Or at least Brad Pitt's less-pretty-boy-brother?
 James Thacker 21 Sep 2010
In reply to petemacpherson: That's it I'm psyched.
In reply to hwackerhage: Hello Henning, everything was done with a Canon G10.Fairly robust and easy to use with gloves. Even survived when Brad Robertson dropped it down 3 pitches of Super Rat.

Cheers,

Pete

I'm off to get my torture device out the cupboard so I can do some wrist curls.
 Areteroute 22 Sep 2010
In reply to petemacpherson: That has to rate as one of the finest winter climbing vids I have ever seen. Absolutely brilliant! I am now off to lose a stone and try and phsyc myself up for something more than a grade III.
 hwackerhage 22 Sep 2010
In reply to petemacpherson: Cheers. Maybe a SLR with HDR video is the way forward for a good quality winter video. Regarding throwing cameras: My record is throwing a Nikon D300 down from pitch 2 in winter corrie. It survived!

In reply to petemacpherson:

A great video! A mate in Edinburgh told me about it just yesterday and I have posted it on our New Zealand climbing website's forum (www.mountainz.co.nz).

I really like the use of the stills in the video, and the almost total lack of dialogue. Great use of music too. Cheers!
