Came home last night to find my lab had chewed up my (nearly) new Salomon XA Pro 3D trainers. Not happy. I quite liked them for trail and a bit of road running but now I need to replace them I'm not sure if I should get the same ones.

I'm looking for more road orientated trainers as I tend to use a couple of pairs of Inov8s for off road stuff.

Any recommendations?

What about those Inov8 flite 230's? I quite like the idea of going towards a minimal-cusioning trainer to build some lower body strength.

Go to a proper running shop, get them to watch you run and measure your feet and then get what they recommend.

For myself, I went in to a Runners Need shop in London and came out with a pair of Brooks. Something I would never have thought of buying before. Love them.
