Leo Houlding is now back in the UK after his successful ascent of his new route The Prophet on El Capitan.

Thought I would share this feedback that was sent from a caver after Leo's lecture on Sunday in Buxton:


Just a quick note to mention that, after a small amount of reservation, a few of us underground dwellers were at the Opera House last night, seeing what the upstairs lot get up to. We all really enjoyed it! Leo is a good speaker and obviously a good enough climber to give such a strong talk, and we all came out of it with just a little bit more respect for climbers...!

Have to say that the 5 minute raw video of him climbing the crack on The Prophet was intense, much more dramatic than any of the adrenaline-filled, flashy trailers!

I think Al Lee will be releasing some footage soon. However he's currently en route to Banff for the film festival this weekend.
