Which branch of the climbing fraternity are the most anti-social as far as other climbers are concerned?

Sport climbers with their noisy drills and pervasive bolts?
Boulderers with their tick marks and power screams?
Toprope group route hoggers?
Self-righteous trad lead bumblies?
Scratching dry toolers?
Peg hammering, turf removing, winter crusties?

Cast your votes now or post further nomiations.

Any climbers who think grades and ethics are important. What tedious conversations they are.

You're profile seems to suggest you've clipped a bolt or two. How come you're not following your own advice?

In reply to JLS: Armchair climbers or climbing wall socialites, never actually see them climb anything more than stairs, but they have an opinion on everything and need to tell you it, read every book and even determine which sort of real climbers most worthy of their derision. Can often be found ranting about on climbing forums No better than saturday afternoon football fans.

Far worse than any other sort (If we accept them as climbers even), all the rest are fine they get out and enjoy themselves climbing.

Just ran your post through Google Translate, it came out as:
"I've only been climbing for 5 minutes and I'm desperate for the approval of my peers".
Perhaps next time you could just say that in the first place?

I find that the most anti-social climbers seem to be the ones at our local wall that wont even bother smiling at you unless you climb 6c/7a or above... oh well, their loss!

That's because they're mostly foetuses who haven't developed social skills yet, bless them.
 Fidmark 02 Dec 2010
In reply to Ava Adore: haha I wouldn't say that makes them anti-social, more socio-apathetic.

P.s we found the best way to disperse them was a punch or kick(in the face) and then push them off.
