In reply to UKC News:

wow!
it's really nice to see a video out so soon.
Even a fairly high quality video (from my non-expertise - basically I just liked it) I like the music that comes up in DM's vids as well.

I felt the tension in the last moments of the video.

I didn't realise that Kev Shields only had 1 1/2 hands. Makes the E5 quite an impressive lead.

Vid won't work for me here in France and when I click the direct link to Vimeo it says it's a private video

If you find that video of Kev impressive then watch this (apologies if you've seen it). One hell of a brave climber.

Is this slab in a guidebook, and if so which one? (Not that I'm planning to go and repeat DM's routes, you understand, but it looks like a nice bit of rock.)

In reply to James Oswald: Thought you might have been thinking of his solo of Fast & Furious youtube.com/watch?v=sS9G1fI7S-w&

Nothing but respect for that acheivement. His blog summed it up best:

"Back on the route, I cant believe I soloed this 3 times. someone told me the other day there it was gutsy but it wasn't, I simply timed a moment or three of mental instability with some physical capability................."
