We met AP at Penya Roja (sp?) a while back. He looked big and scary but was such a lovely, gentle person. I was gripped watching him barefoot soloing on stuff that was friable but he does seem to know exactly what he's doing.

Fantastic to solo F8b barefoot and so close to his limit. An amazing video.

Normal ethical approach in the Elbesandstein Gebirge! They're hard as nails round there when it comes to cranking (my wife is from Saxony so I know the score!)

In reply to UKC News: We met at Siurana, a couple of month back. He flashed a 7c+ there, barefoot of course. Quite impressive.
