Thanks Lynn.

Just found the BMC page on FB, does it post area meetings? This would link up to smart phone to help me remember such stuff.

Thanks,

John

Oh it does (under events), but the meeting does not appear to be there?

Then again I might be doing something wrong.

A Glossop meeting this year I hope?
Lynn BMC President 02 Mar 2011
In reply to Dan Lane:

If that's what folk want........

Do people think The Crown is a good venue? (I certainly enjoyed the pie and peas!!)
 Dan Lane 03 Mar 2011
In reply to Moff:

Well the sheffield gang usually moan about having to come to Glossop, but what about those of us that come from Glossop every meeting? or even Rick, it takes him most of a whole hour extra to get to Sheffield, and he turns up without fail!

As for the Crown? well, it's not the best pub in the world, but i'm struggling to think of something quite like the Maynard in Glossop. I think it's alright for the meetings, cheap and the food isnt bad considering it's free. Talk to Martin, he might know a better venue.

In reply to Dan Lane:

Next meeting a month away (13th April) so I'm beginning to put the agenda together. A few of us met up with the guys from the Eastern Moors Partnership so have some feedback to give to you all - very interesting times are ahead! One thing that came out of that meeting is people wanting more information on volunteering options.

Any other agenda items welcome, as always. Either here or to: lynn.robinson@bmcvolunteers.org.uk

Hope to see you next month, Moff

Not sure I'll make it, if I do I'll be late by the time we've got the kids off to bed.

Did the monkees record a song called "Last train to Clarkesvilla" ?

Excellent meeting. I'll post a report soon, Moff

In reply to Moff:

One result from the meeting was the decision to recommence the Peak Area Newsletter (what's that? I hear from the stalls). We paused the publishing last year because about the only people reading it were the staff, contributors and an expat from Texas who said it reminded him of home (I kid ye not). So, we're off again; details here:

http://www.thebmc.co.uk/News.aspx?id=4233

Key point to take away is the Deadline, 25 May, and we really need some climbing input (I get nosebleeds just going upstairs).
