Geocaching + Hillwalking = Summitcaching

You may want to try summitcaching. That is geocaches and waymarks on the summits of mountains/hills. There is a separate website for this at www.summitcaching.org.uk There are league tables to add some interest and competition.

I hope this does is not digging and burying junk on summits of hills? In which case I completely disagree.

I would suspect the vast majority will be 'waymark' 'caches' with no physical presence other that the big trig point/cross that's been put there years ago. There's not normally much to hide a cache in on top of mountains, and no-one's going to put one in a cairn as you'd have to demolish it to find it.

I agree. How dare they have a hobby that might impact on our own selfish activities
