Jon Partridge in the qualifiers at Milan 2011, 3 kbThe first round of the 2011 IFSC Bouldering World Cup took place on the 15-17 April in Milan, Italy.


The men's event was won by Kilian Fischhuber from Austria and the women's event was won by Kim Jain from Korea.

In reply to UKC News: I was really looking forward to this video, but found it rather disappointing. Maybe we've just been spoilt over the years, but high profile bouldering comps have often had extremely professional videos. Fascinating to watch & learn from.

In contrast, this one only ever showed jerky snippets from any problem, never how a single competitor worked out & completed the entire sequence. Very disjointed I thought.
