Im thinking about getting a new sack which ultimately needs to be big enough for all the gubbins I need for doing an over nighter with a bivy. Also needs to be big enough for other bits of general climbing kit as there is talk of spending two days up on the cuillin ridge.

Has anyone got any recommendations? I was looking at the Black Diamond 50 Caliber or a Macpack ascent classic or something by osprey? Open to ideas.

Cheers.

In reply to rob514: Go for a Grivel Alpine 45 rucksac, I use this all the time for weekend climbing and hiking trips. It's so full of common sense extras that I'm the envy of all my friends who have all the pacs you just mentioned.

Osprey Exposure 50. Comfy and streamlined with loads of nice wee features if you're climbing too.

POD Black Ice seems to fit your bill quite well there.
