I can see how it could be monstrously intimidating in a big sea and how it could be horrendously hard when the top pitch is dripping slime but it's still one of the best routes I've done in years. We took a team of four in pretty good conditions this Easter, we were all laughing from beginning to end despite forgetting various torches/helmets etc. It is a truly preposterous day out I'd recommend highly.
I don't really know how you grade it. Obviously you're pretty well isolated and self reliant which is a novelty around that bit of Pembroke and there are bits of it you wouldn't want to fall off, maybe even the odd bit you really shouldn't fall off but that's not so unusual. It's weird, confusing, blind, intimidating as hell and there are actually a couple of pretty hard moves in there so 'E2ish' seems fair enough. I'm sure if you get to that smeary step on the last pitch to find it covered in slime it's going to feel E3+ and with a big booming sea running it'd be terrifying. In the conditions we did it with a fairly strong team, sparkling green sea, wet rock but little slime it felt like a *** wet E1 adventure and a perfect antidote to the team hangover.
Go back in better conditions, it's brilliant, like being in the roof space of a cathedral with no idea why you're there or where you're going
