In reply to UKC News: A fantastically humble, realistic and enlightening comment from Peter Habeler.

The greatest people nearly always seem to be the most humble, don't they? What a lovely person. A mate met him back in the day and said exactly that. He was right.

In reply to Mick Ward: We bumped into him this summer walking up the Ahornspitz above his home town. He was leading a large and jolly Austrian party, we were going a bit faster, - mind you we hadn't been drinking beer since 9.00 as many of his party had, although he hadn't! He suggested to his party that they let us past, and he waved us through with a grin. He seemed like a man happy with his fame and happy being recognised but very relaxed about it all, just happy to be in the mountains.
