I'm looking for an easy to use but professional quality panoramic stitcher . I dont really use photoshop much , when I've tried using it in the auto mode for panoramics it doesn't look any good . I'm looking for sharpness and minimal distortion at the edges , any thoughts / advice ?

Of the ones I've used.

Free - Hugin (Can have a steep learning curve but the results are impressive)
Paid - ptgui (Demo available)

I don't know if anyone else used Panorama Maker but I've had very good results. Nice and simple too.

In reply to nk: Another vote for Autopano Pro. It's very simple to use, and produces good results.
I use it for panoramas for work.

The software that came with my old Canon A70 included some stiching software that worked very well, though only on JPGs.
