In reply to UKC Gear: Would be great if someone produced something similar, maybe a baselayer with a 1/4 zip and a hood.

Ah, now we know where the blue 'intel inside' guys get their kit from!

Seriously though, we got these in this year and they look lovely, unfortunately I couldn't try one in my size but they seem quite baggy on the hanger. I'm still not convinced on this kind of wool as a 'technical' mid layer though, especially at that price. It's heavier than fleece, doesn't transfer moisture like fleece and if it does get wet you're screwed because it'll soak up gallons of water and take ages to dry out.

In reply to Mick Ryan - Senior Editor - UKC: Amazing, that's exactly what I want! I had a quick internet search but assumed noone would do one given they'd look to be on a fashion level with romper suits.

In reply to StuLade: And alas, nowhere currently sells them. Is it a new product line that's not made it to shops yet or long discontinued. Exactly what I've wanted for ages; winter baselayer, merino, half zip, close fitting under helmet hood, thumb loops (though the cuff looks a bit long maybe for gloves?)and the shoulder construction looks like there's a bit of thought to it and no bloody chest pocket which seems to be on every piece of gear.
