It's often cited as an example but Rab Carrington climbed his first 8a when he was 60(+).

Don't forget that Gaz has been climbing at an elite level for nigh on a couple of decades so he has the training behind him to keep making these improvements.

Some may say he has been underperforming until now ;0)
