In reply to monkey_moves: Starts too slow. Lost me at 45 seconds.

In reply to Voltemands: apologies, cant please everyone I guess but went for the slower feel (appreciate not everyone's cup of tea though!), anyway for those who want straight into the climbing, skip to 1 min in

In reply to monkey_moves: No reason to apologise, it's your party

In reply to Voltemands: nope, I think you have a point now in hindsight! I was originally intending to go and interview the climber and would have had more of a story feel to the route, so the first min or so could have been more engaging (as lets be fair with climbs to music, if u hate the tunes then it sucks anyway) however, as im lazy and it was hard to coordinate us both being down the wall at the same time and not just wanting to climb, hence the cop out and edit to music!

Anyway for those interested, it was shot on a hacked panasonic gh1 with the stock 14-140 lens, but a fair bit of color grade, and manipulation in post, (Adobe CS5.5)

Superb! I like the relaxed distant feel and ambient music - a couple of the scenes changed a bit too quickly to fit in with this but other wise really held my attention. You should be making climbing films.

In reply to monkey_moves: You've made a great piece of climbing film! Not a typical climbing porn.

loving dinas rock, i hesitantly opened that link expecting yet another "dude" "sending" on kennelgarth wall... i am very happy to see something a bit out of the ordinary; well filmed, had a story of sorts to tell and came with appropriate music. good work!
Didn't that wall have a climbing ban years ago though? (i'm talking 20 years (how the hell is it 20 years since i used to climb down that way regularly?)), or was it just too hard back then as bolting wasn't as common as it is now? (that's not a dig, i'm really pleased that dinas rock is finally getting some of the attention it deserves from sport climbers).
