I see a lot of emphasis on men's climbing pants, but I don't hear a lot about women's climbing clothes. What do you prefer to climb in? Do you have any women climbing specific clothing or do you just wear whatever? What pants/tops are your favorite?

Firstly, Welcome to the wonderful world of UKC forum.
Secondly, There is an American based clothing company that deal with just female climbing products.
http://verticalgirl.com/ or facebook http://www.facebook.com/VerticalGirlClothing
Hope that helps.

Personally haven't got anything too specific but got myself a pair of stretchy trousers from Blacks which are really good, allow full movement http://www.blacks.co.uk/brand/Technicals/product/033948/technicals-womens-r...
and recently also a Marmot top http://marmot.com/products/wms_vogue_tank?p=217,132 but other than that I just wear a variety of t-shirts, strappy tops and shorts or zip-off trousers. It's expensive to get much 'proper' stuff!

Are you thinking indoors, crags or mountains? Indoors I tend to wear stuff from more general sports ranges; in the hills stuff from mountaineering ranges (Marmot soft shell trousers - because they were the brand that fitted best out of the 3 or 4 in the shop - and Icebreaker merino tops, plus windproof/soft-shell jacket.

For colder weather I have a pair of Moon trousers that I love and will wear with long johns if it's really cold. Also a pair of stretchy black Mountain Equipment ones. But indoors, any old pair of combats from New Look/a charity shop.

I have a bit of a thing about the fact that fleeces are ugly and unflattering things and often badly fitting. But they do the job outdoors I suppose. Indoors - again, any old T shirt.

In reply to spiderlady: I wear a lot of whatever. Aerobics exercise 3/4 leggings from decathlon for indoors/dry warm rock.
(I'm afraid) unisex ronhills in colder conditions as they dry quickly.
Northface softshell in winter, because in winter you do need technical kit rather than whatever.
Stylish womens trousers tend to have drop-waists which don't work that well with a climbing harness - the hem of the shirt gets caught in the krabs when clipping to gear-loops.

In reply to Ava Adore: another vote for moon trousers and also for gritpants. (which actually do seem tough enough to last on grit) I find the main issue is leg length - manufacturers seem to assume that all female climbers are strapping amazonian types, and I do feel silly trying to climb like charlie chaplin with my trousers flapping round my ankles ;-D.

I think these are my favourite climbing trousers: http://shop.uax.cz/woman/kalhoty-freecoola?barva=BLACK%20GREY but I think UAX have only had size XS for the last year or so, so they're not exactly easy to get hold of. I also have a pair of Fox jeans that I like to climb in.

I find that Moon trousers are too short for me (though I am definitely not a tall Amazonian type).

It does seem like most shops don't stock so much for women, and often have a pretty random collections of styles/sizes.
