This is doing he rounds on FB and is the funniest and yet most touching thing I've seen in a long time.

Hope it raises a smile on a grey daamp bank holiday.

In reply to David Hooper: That's brilliant. My sisters old dog used to grin like that when he'd done something naughty too!

Hoe you are feeling well.

In reply to higherclimbingwales: generally on the up and up,but currently going through some hellish psychological sh*t as I'm slowly cutting down on my opiate painkillers.

Gives me a lot more sympathy with drug addicts than I used to have. Very difficult.

In reply to David Hooper:

Yup...body language a dead giveaway! What was the grinning thing Denver did? Appeasement in doggy mannerisms?
 Steve John B 09 Apr 2012
In reply to David Hooper: Very sweet. I like the way he slinks off to his kennel - poor thing!

superb david. thanks for posting. i'm recovering from back surgery a few days ago and laughing does not help!
OP David Hooper 09 Apr 2012
In reply to Steve John B: yes - my much missed Chewwie used to do a very good "walk of shame"
In reply to David Hooper: Thanks for that David, it really is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time and has really brightened up a gloomy day! :0)

In reply to David Hooper: Really? I didn't like it. If a kid was hiding his face in the corner cos he thought he'd be in trouble and you kept shoving the sweetie wrapper in his face and asking if he did it, would that be funny too?

In reply to David Hooper: This one, however, is having fun: youtube.com/watch?v=jkJ7UV8Fs48&

In reply to ceri: dogs can have a sense of humour and playact. Chewwie could do a really ridiculous gay mock growl when having a pretend fight with me over his toys, which was totally different to his warning growl in a dodgy situation. Also when he snuck into places where he shouldn't be and got caught, he would respond to the command "do the walk of shame" and slink off.

I'm pretty sure old Denver had an element of "playing to the camera".

In reply to Fraser: sorry didn't do it for me

In reply to David Hooper:

Funny but It's not really guilt though is it? The dogs just being submissive.

In reply to Bulls Crack: used to being smacked in the face?

My dog understands 'bugger off' if he's being irritating.
