Are there good any slate climbing destinations in the UK and abroad other than the Llanberis slate quarries and the ones in the Lake District? I love slate climbing and would be interested to find out if there were any other locations for this?

In reply to Ross.Cooper:

There's a bit down in Cornwall, a rock type called Killas Slate (natural not quarried, so a different style).

If this isn't actually slate it certainly does a good impression.

In reply to Ross.Cooper: Leicestershire has some slate but I'm not sure you'd think of it as a "good slate climbing destination" - but ok if you climb there anyway.
