Anyone used either of these lanterns? I was after one and saw that these have a mesh globe so aren't breakable which is why I need a new one

They pretty much look the same, just wondered if anyone had an opinions either way.

I can sell you my F1 lite lantern. Never seem to use it. Think I may have a couple of spare mantles too. £12 plus p&p

I've got an F1, its ok for what it does, I use it on bivvys sometimes if there is 2 of us, its handy that it screws into the same tried and tested screw top gas cans. Even though its mesh its still delicate to shocks etc, the mandle can disentigrate if you bang it hard. It light though <and light!>

In reply to Richard Carter: i have F1 and candle lantern. F1 is fragile (mantle) if the mantle gets a hole then the cage gets very hot. For that reason i prefer the candle lantern. More robust, even though glass, better light, and cheaper to use. It also feels safer as far as CO gas goes.
In reply to Richard Carter:

Went with the F1 in the end, £17 vs the Primus one that was £50 :-P
