I've just got my copy of this new guide - a new departure for the CC - selected climbs. After a quick glance, I must say I'm impressed - a worthy successor to Pat Littlejohn's guide. I'm looking forward to volume 2!

Clearly the best photo in the book is of Zelda in the Wye Valley. Looking forward to getting my hands on a copy

There's quite a few of them! They're listed on the title page.

My favourite picture in the guide is the DPS of Central Wall and Malbogies.

In reply to Mark Kemball: It is a good looking book, the Wye and Avon/Cheddar sections are particularly good. The route selections in Dorset are pretty bizarre IMO, finding room for obscure climbs at Wallsend North and Winspit sea walls at the expense of classics like Silhouette Arete and Jo in the Ruckle or Reptile Smile and Pregnant Pause at Blacknor. I guess it is an attempt to spread traffic, but that has never been the purpose of selective guides before and doesn't seem to be the policy adopted in the rest of the guide.
Overall a worthy addition though and volume 2 should be good too.

Did the photo you took of Jen on The Russian make it in Mark?
