Accident at Stanage today (23rd)

A friend of mine took a rather big fall today around the Manchester Buttress area. Just wanted to thank everyone that helped out, it was an awesome effort and everyone handled it really well! The response from the mountain rescue team and the air ambulance was amazing, I will be ensuring a lot of money is donated their way...

He's doing ok, though has suffered a fair bit of damage to the face and a fractured wrist. He asked for his thanks to be passed on to everyone who helped!

Glad your friend is ok and is recovering sufficiently... He was lucky to get the Heli!

The Mountain Rescue Team's do a marvellous job and the are often fund raising throughout the summer.

Edale MRT put on a great event - The 9 Edges endurance challenge - which is a great way to raise money for the MRT - google it & maybe think about getting sponsored - its a great walk / run as well!
