In reply to Zina: I think that you need to be a little more specific and also tell us a little about yourself. Grades etc. Mind you French au pair will probably get you a thousand offers on that alone.

Be prepared to be disappointed. Sport climbing in the UK does not bear much relationship to that in Europe unless you climb in the 7's and 8's. Apart from Portland most of it is in grotty quarries. You need to get on trad to get the best out of the UK climbing scene. Good luck.

That sounds a bit defeatist. Are you a real person, not a troll? If so fill in your profile properly and I'm sure people will be happy to help you. "The South"? Where exactly? Some places in the south are good for sport climbing.
