Mid-flight on Above and Beyond E6 6a.  A Pat Littlejohn Classic., 3 kbOver the weekend of 1st – 3rd June Mountaineering Ireland (MI) hosted the third annual Fair Head Climbing Meet. Billed as 'the best crag in the UK' and with a fine forecast, this year saw the most successful meet to date with over 150 climbers enjoying climbing at its best.

Fair Head is a 5 km expanse of dolerite situated on the North Coast of Northern Ireland. Currently there are over 400 recorded routes, many of which follow splitter crack lines...

A superb weekend and there was a definite buzz about the place! Hopefully this doesn't mean the classics will start getting polished...

Definately surreal to be sitting at a belay at this 'unheard of' crag and to turn round only to see Dawes about to ab down.
Big thanks to Paul and Sean the farmer for a great weekend!

In reply to UKC News: Awesome weekend at an awesome crag and a great scene all round, good effort to Paul, MI and loads of thanks and appreciation to Sean the farmer (although maybe a third portaloo next time eh!)...we're already planning another trip, still got loads of the best routes in the UK left to do!
