In reply to Owen W-G: Bloodhound at Gouther - 38m of pure joy!
 Liam Ingram 19 Jun 2012
In reply to Owen W-G:

In Scotland The Bug (better than the Pillar IMO) and Geriatrics spring to mind.

In reply to Owen W-G:

I'll be following this one!

South West - Out Of The Blue at Lower Sharpnose

In reply to Owen W-G:
First Blood at St Govan's East is a class above any of your other Pembroke offerings (many of which are only E1 anyway *runs*)
 AJM 19 Jun 2012
In reply to Liam Ingram:

Would agree re the Bug.

In reply to Owen W-G:

Scratch the question mark from Desolation Row - it's the nuts.
In reply to Owen W-G:

Lady Jane, Aonach Dubh.

In reply to Gordon Stainforth:

Point taken. Got carried away and just thought of my favourite E2's.

In reply to Owen W-G:

How about some from North Pembroke?:

Uncertain Smile, Craig Caerfai
Stingray, Carreg y Barcud

I was trying to think of some more on Cornish granite; the two that spring to mind are both at Sennen; Delilah and Golva

In reply to Owen W-G:

Northumberland Wall, Klondyke Wall, Sandy Crack? One of these should be in it.
 Martin Haworth 19 Jun 2012
In reply to andi turner: Northumberland Wall is excellent but it is 2 pitches.
 scootskin 19 Jun 2012
In reply to Owen W-G: Pillar Front at Eastby is awesome
 Bill Mckee 19 Jun 2012
In reply to Owen W-G:

Worth adding Neptune at Dalbeg, Lewis, and Arial on Loch Maree Crag (maybe E3 though?) for Scotland.

Looks like my wishlist for this year. If I get them all ticked I'll have had a good one!

Maybe also add Boadicea.
 Dave Garnett 19 Jun 2012
In reply to Owen W-G:

Why single pitch BTW? The Strand's two unless you have a very long rope or only do the easy pitch!

Suicide Wall Route 1 has to be better than Aardvark, anyway (sorry Al).
 Stone Muppet 19 Jun 2012
Yes but the Strand's easy pitch is E2

I quite like Wuthering on Stanage, why not add that.
 Stone Muppet 19 Jun 2012
Presumably you should add Bow Wall on Bosigran too though I can't really vouch for it having been defeated by the crux a few years back

why why why?
 Si dH 20 Jun 2012
In reply to Owen W-G: I would scrap regent st and possibly ffe personally, but then I had a bad time on the latter.
Remove the ?s from fern hill, scoop wall and wombat - all awesome - especially wombat.

Im not sure id include out of the blue...it is good tho and the only day ive spent on the culm so difficult for to judge.
 Si dH 20 Jun 2012
In reply to Owen W-G:
Oh, on peak lime id also add armageddon or flakes direct - both are superb long single pitches.
There must be more in the lakes...
 nniff 20 Jun 2012
In reply to Owen W-G:

Buccaneer is the worst route ever to get a star, let alone 3. It also has two wretched pitches.

I'd add Zulu at Wyndcliffe

Eh? Since when?

 Pagan 20 Jun 2012

There's a couple of Northumberland Walls. The one at Diabaig is 2 pitches and 70 metres.

In reply to Owen W-G:

New Horizons 2 - Would make a good addition to the West Country Section.

All the other climbs in the West Country you've picked are delicate slabs

Well, I agree that we're a little constrained by the odd single pitch restriction, but I think they are both classics. Delilah is balancy and technical and Golva is slightly more combative!
 The Ivanator 20 Jun 2012
In reply to Owen W-G: Pull my Daisy? Or was that left off for a specific reason?
 odox 20 Jun 2012
In reply to Martin Haworth:
You're doing it wrong

Andi is talking about Northumberland Wall in Northumberland, not Scotland!
I'd agree with all his suggestions in the NE.

Is (Norn) Ireland allowed? If so there are a few Fair Head mega-pitches you ought to have.

Thanks, exactly the sort of information I was looking for, as opposed to some reference to a Tom Jones song :p
 Dave Garnett 20 Jun 2012
In reply to Morgan Woods:

Sorry, I missed the why, why, why reference too!
 torquil 20 Jun 2012
+1 for Pull My Daisy, German Schoolgirl too on slate.

Last Tango down to E1 now iirc.
 Dave Warburton 20 Jun 2012
In reply to Owen W-G:

Lakes: Gillette Direct

NYMoors: Mongol, Satchmo (might just be hard E1)

Yorks Grit: Earl Buttress?

 jess 20 Jun 2012
In reply to Owen W-G: neptune, dalbeg ..the pillar, diabaig.. geriatrics, shiegra ...best ive done in scotland !
