Doing an Alps tour in a couple of months, and need a tent, its not being carried it will be in the car. Any recommends? Would need to accomodate 2, be easy to put up, solid and waterproof. and reasonably priced. Thanks
In reply to Deltona: What is your definition of reasonably priced? How comfortably must it accommodate 2? Do you want to be able to stand up inside, put a table in there to watch the rain?

I'd always go 1 person bigger if you're not worried about carrying it. Wild Country aspect 3 looks a brilliant little tent. Really roomy inside, longer than others and a simple, easy to erect tunnel design. Made by the same people as Terra Nova tents so very good. A great tent at a good price. Aspect 2 available too if you want to save space/cash!!

Anything carried only in a car should have at least standing height. In my opinion it's either Black Diamond Firstlight for ultimate portability or one of the high ones.

You both got your own room:

For car camping you'd be hard pressed to beat this in terms of space, price and reasonable quality. I've got one which I've used in pouring rain in France and 40 degrees sunlight in Spain.

Hi yes sorry should have been a little more descriptive on the needs side. Ideally roomy, so could go for 3 man? not bothered about full head height. Easy to pitch with good storage, front cover would be nice as a cooking area if the weather is poor. Although its being taken in a car I dont want it to weigh that much. Thanks

In reply to Deltona:
Seriously, if you are camping by car get a tent you can stand up in, or nearly stand at least.
It makes such a difference.

You can get some that are not TOO heavy and are swift to erect.
In reply to Deltona: I have a MH Trango 3 for sale if you're interested in that? only been used a few times.
