Hello all, I am moving to Innsbruck in December for 7 years and wan to get the low down on crags there. Any favorites from people and recommendations on guide books to get? I have posted this on the Rock climbing board as well.

In reply to Aigen: You don't need to post to multiple boards, we can see them all.

In reply to Aigen:

Herman Buhl mentions the Karwendel range, just to the north of the city, in his book 'Nanga Parbat Pilgrimage'

including Steinerne Rinne
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Predigtstuhl_(Kaisergebirge)
and Laliderer
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laliderer_Spitze

looks very adventurous

God, where yo start? Wilder Kaiser, Wetterstein, Dolomites etc... if you want specific route recommendations let me know by mail...

Also, there is the most amazing whitewater kayaking close by and obviously skiiing and mountain biking!

One question for you, what are you doing out there? I would love to move to Innsbruck, but I need a job ....!

All the best,
Heike
