Hi guys, I'm looking for recommendations for a physiotherapist in Bristol.

A couple of days ago I fumbled a clip on a sport route and fell with the rope wrapped around my arm (which has now swollen to about twice its previous size). The doctors at A&E told me it's just muscle damage, and I've been advised to see a physio as soon as possible (within the first week or two) to make sure the muscle heals well, doesn't develop excessive scar tissue, etc.

So, has anybody seen a physio recently who they would like to recommend? If you are a physio in the area, I don't mind a bit of self-promotion either!

Cheers,
Nick

I went to Jemma at the Physio Place. I do however have a prolapsed disc so can't comment on effectiveness!

I can recommend Sue Hughes at the Henleaze Physiotherapy Clinic

She helped me sort out my aches and pains

They are very good at Keith James Physio Centre on Coldharbour Road can't recommend them enough. They used to look after Bristol Rugby a few years ago so are very familiar with sport injuries & how to treat them. I see Giles, but have been to Keith & Matt in the past as well & they are all really good. http://www.keithjamesphysiotherapy.co.uk/

Go see Nina Leonfeller - she specialises in climbers.

Nick,

A second vote for Nina Leonfeller. My wife has been seeing her. She is a Sports Physio at Bristol University which may be accessible to you, otherwise she also runs her own practice

I've sent you an email via UKC and am trying to get her phone number.

Hi Nick
You can contact Nina on 0775 902 6869. She is a climber herself so is very aware that people wish to be active again as soon as possible after injury. She has treated many climbers from the local scene, myself included, and cannot be recommended highly enough.

In reply to Nick Russell: I second nina, she is also a rather handy climber.
