Westway Sports Centre occupies an iconic 8 acre site literally beneath the Westway Flyover in North Kensington. Developed by social enterprise Westway Development Trust, in 3 phases, over the last 20 years, the Centre is renowned as London's leading community sports centre and has been used as a national case study by Sport England as well as being a Lawn Tennis Association High Performance Tennis Centre.
Our Sport’s Centre houses 10 tennis courts, 8 football pitches, London’s largest climbing centre, fives courts, a gym, sport and café concessions, and everything that goes with it. Portobello Green Fitness Club is a community gym which with a state-of-the-art gym, a huge programme of exercise classes ranging from aerobics to dance, ladies only classes, squash courts, saunas, steam rooms, therapy rooms and much more will help you feel, look, and stay better.
Westway Sports Centre is currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the management team and contribute positively to the Centre’s growth within the following role:
Head of Climbing
Salary: £35,000 per annum, 40 hours per week
Your job will be to manage the climbing centre, which will include the management of the climbing operations and programming teams. You will be responsible for the commercial income generation of the climbing centre, and the delivery of the subsidised programmes.
This post will be also be responsible for all management aspects of the centre including the route setting programme, all aspects of Health & Safety, maintenance and external contractors.
