Hi all,

I really have searched everywhere I can think of online. I am looking for a cottage to hire for two people between 1st and 5th August which is handy for Snowdonia.

Near a pub would be nice but will settle without.

Please please help.

though not cottages, they are as good as.

The pub nearest, well within walking distance, the Rhiw Goch, is very good too.

Have you tried the "Eagles" at Penmachno? 4 star bunkhouse above the pub, and holiday cottages as well. great spot!

We stay at Llanrwst at Carneddau Cottage. It's on a farm and only 1 mile from the centre of Llanrwst. The cottage is a lovely converted granary. It has 2 bedrooms so sleeps 4 but the price seems to be the same as other cottages in Snowdonia that sleep 2. The farmer and his wife are great. It has a combi boiler so there's always hot water which in the winter is excellent. You can google the cottage to get the owner's phone number or book through the Wales Tourist Board. They do offer less than 7 nights if available. You would really like it.
