I was thinking of taking a trip over to France with the family via the Dover - Dunkirk ferry, and as my missus doesn't want to drive to Font, I was wondering if anyone knew of any half decent crags around an hour from Dunkirk?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Unless there are some places in Belgium, the ONLY crag in departements 59 & 62 is what looks like an old marble quarry at Hydrequent, about an hour from Dunkirk:

Anything else is about 3 hours away. You could probably get to Southern Sandstone quicker from there.

In reply to Nordie_matt: i've been taking my wife to font for 4 years now, she's a total non-climber but this last trip got some shoes on and did some whites, yellows and a blue!

plus buy book, chill out on sand in sunshine.
