The great thing about the Olympics is the chance for athletes in minor sports to get their share of the spotlight. I'd put canoeing in this category, Which made me wonder when was the last time we had a British 1,2 at the Olympics? Does it go back to Coe and Ovett? I think we had gold and bronze in women's modern pentathlon in Sydney, but any gold, silvers out there before our canoeists managed it this year.
