Material for a Bouldering mat cover

Can anyone suggest somewhere I can pick up some suitably hard wearing material with which I could make up a bouldering pad cover for a large piece of foam I have lying around.

The problem you may have is sewing something that heavy duty without a commercial sewing machine.
